Shopping there is easy. It's just like any other loaves. The only downfall was shopping through them. Maybe the lack of knowledge on the products. Buying something from them. I would make sure that you require them to give you the manuals and any paperwork that are supposed to come with it. Purchased a snowblower and it came with no paperwork!
No bags for items. Is it any wonder people can just take-off the shelves, and walk out the store without paying. We Did. Front-end staff seems too damn busy chatting, texting, browsing their phone, than doing their job of servicing customers and watching the exits. Employees just don't seem-to-care who leaves with what. Kinda tells me about management and employee standards.
Had to ask five(5!), employees where aparticular product was(stove parts & accessories). "It's in the back," was the typical reply. Not one lame busy-chatting employee, bothered to even walk me to the area. Disturbing. Guess that's the price for average prices. Reason enough, to-not-pay.
Wonderful employees. They are super nice. Helpful. Clean store. Organized well. Always find what you’re looking for, easy. One of the better Lowe’s I’ve been to out of the 10 states I have lived in. Honestly high quality for Rome. Standard prices for everything you need. They have deals, such as on plants they’ll put them on shelves for a discounted rate, just need to keep your eye out.
I just spent 1/2 an hour in this store trying to get someone to help me. I wanted to buy a refrigerator, but couldn’t find any employees in appliances. I walked over to lumber, opposite side of store, still didn’t see a single employee. I also wanted to buy some lumber I saw right outside of lumber department, but didn’t see it inside, even though I walked up and down the aisles. I asked Tina, whom was sitting at the register, for help. She told me she can’t leave her register, but called two different people, asking for help. They both said no. She said she would keep trying, and proceeded to ring out other customers. I walked to customer service, and as I was mid-sentence, Jessica took a phone call. Once she finished with the customer that’s more important than me, she did call for the manager, Rich, whom said either he would meet me in lumber or he would send someone else. So I again walked back to lumber. I asked Tina if anyone had yet responded and she said no. I didn’t see any other employees for awhile, til Mitch appeared. I asked him if he would help me. He seemed annoyed but said yes. But he couldn’t find the cinderblock I wanted, and said the lumber I wanted was in lawn & garden. So I wonder why it was displayed outside lumber? By this point I was frustrated and I had already walked the length of the store several times. No apologies were offered to me, only the excuse of “we’re short staffed”. Well, even the few people you have physically there, refuse to work. This store is pathetic. Guess I’ll drive into the city and go to Home Depot.
Need to do a better job vetting your contractors. 2 weeks to take down and put up a fence and it’s still not even done yet even when the co tractor said it will be a quick job. Take down one day out yo the next. Will probably never go to Lowe’s again for another project. Make it seem so simple and easy but it’s a constant phone tag game with the contractor with him saying stuff just to appease you but never follows through on when his people will be here. The guy only has 1 solid worker who has done it all. Lowe’s should pay him all of the money and not the actual contractor who hasn’t even been to my house since the first day. The Contractor submitted that the fence was done when in fact it wasnt even 1/2 way done so he can get paid and now not have to worry about finishing. Seems that today it isnt going to be finished but he went to Lowe’s to get more materials but never showed up today to finish. I’m pretty sure he went to start another job because he’s 3 weeks behind on that. This whole fence project has been a huge inconvenience and will never do any projects with Lowe’s again. Iv reached out to the store and corporate and pretty much get told “I’m sorry and I understand” The last call I had with corporate seems kind of promising but then again who knows. We shall see.
We just purchased a washer, dryer, fridge and dishwasher from the Lowe's in Rome, NY. All appliances were supposed to be delivered and installed. We ended up paying a plumber to install the dishwasher. They were supposed to pick up the old dishwasher the day after we paid to have the new dishwasher installed. Apparently there was a "mistake" about communications. We still have an old dishwasher in our yard and no one answers the phone when you call call to speak with a manger.
I don't usually leave reviews, mostly because people and places nowadays are just a huge disappointment. However, this morning a woman in your garden center was exactly what we needed. Victoria was wonderful!!! She was easy to talk to, …
This Lowes is very low key , not very busy @ all . Anytime of day or night very few people. It's pretty much in and out if you can get out of there bc your looking at all the stuff you could possibly use . Even though it is more expensive than Harbor or the cheaper stores, it's worth it most of the time to buy a tool or any building materials there just for a better quality product than some online store where u can't physically touch and check things out. I mean to an extent anyway ... A lot of these stores most often half of the employees don't know much about anything. If your looking for answers to a question related to carpentry or building something or materials. Let's be honest you could spend a million dollars there and they wouldn't give a damn about you !
